Long time no speak! I apologise for my absence, I have A-level exams coming up (oh the joys…) so when I’m not studying I’m either walking Max or editing photos for Instagram, as well as having some downtime to destress of course. This means that at the moment I don’t have the time to blog so I’ve had to put it aside for a while, but I will be back to blogging after the 14th June which I’m very excited for!
Anyway, this is unfortunately our last blog for Guru Pet Food as our GeekSTAR term is coming to an end. I can’t believe it’s already been a year… how time flies!
I remember being so excited when Sam from Guru Pet Food asked us if Maximus would like to be part of #TeamGuru as their ‘Adventure GeekSTAR‘! I feel so honoured to of had the opportunity to work with such an amazing, not to mention lovely company. It’s been a pleasure to work with a group of people who are not only so nice and friendly, but also incredibly passionate about what they do. They work so hard, their main focus being to #SpreadTheLove which they succeed in doing so well.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time being a GeekSTAR, they are truly inspiring people that love what they do. I couldn’t possibly fault them one bit. Maximus tried his first sample of Guru back in December 2016 and has been a Geekster ever since. Both dogs particularly love the venison sausages and go nuts for them! They are by far their favourite treats (and they can be very fussy!). I’ve even heard that some fur-mums have tried them and approved so they must be good!
One of the reasons Guru is so different from any other dry food companies is because your pooch can safely feed it alongside a raw diet. This is because the food is cold pressed meaning that each pellet is packed with nutrition. To me, this really proves just how high quality their food is. It has so many more benefits compared the wrongly overly commercialised food that are full of animal derivatives, additives, extracts, fats and cheap oils… As well as this, having Guru at the ready makes it so convenient for when you go away because brining raw food with you isn’t always practical in regards to travelling and freezer space.
The first time we had the pleasure of meeting the team behind Guru was at Dog Fest 2017 and I can’t emphasis enough how lovely they were to us. As I’ve mentioned in a previous blog post, I really struggle with my confidence so I can often be quite shy, however they made me feel very comfortable and it wasn’t long before we were all chatting and giggling away! I just love how much they appreciate each and every Geekster, the community feels like one big family and I am so happy to be a part of it. I was really looking forward to seeing their stand for the first time as I had heard from the previous year that it was very impressive. It definitely lived up to expectations, if not beyond them! The vibrant colours and fun interior (including the famous Guru chairs that Oscar immediately claimed ownership of!) really stood out from the surrounding stands. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, people who passed always seemed fascinated by the close community. I can’t wait to visit the stand this year and see what they have in store!
We may no longer be GeekSTARS, but we are so happy with the 3 new GeekSTARS that have been chosen:
- Dynamic GeekSTAR: @ilathetoller
- Loveable GeekSTARs: @rubytheboxerdog
- Outdoor GeekSTARs: @adorablecockers
I’ve always been a huge fan of these accounts and I’m looking forward to seeing what they get up to this following year on their own GeekSTAR journey!
Thank you Guru for an amazing year,
Charlotte & Maximus x
